Burglary in Corozal Town — over $800 in goods stolen

Corozal Police are seeking the thief or thieves who burglarized Corocell Repairs and Services on 5th Avenue, Corozal Town, between the hours of 6:30 p.m. on Friday 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Waseem Khan, 38, a naturalized Belizean businessman originally from India who resides in San Andres, Corozal, told police that when he went to his establishment at about 8:30 Saturday morning, he found that it had been burglarized. The thieves had gained entry into his establishment through a hole in the roof of the building.

Khan found that thieves had stolen a Coby surround sound system valued at $650, a Smart LG cellphone valued at $85 with $187 worth of credit, a Digicell chip valued at $54, and a 4GB SD card valued at $35.

Anyone with information that can lead to the recovery of the stolen items or to the arrest of the thieves is urged to contact the Corozal Police Station, at 402-0022, or the nearest police station.
