Delivery man arraigned for allegedly kissing a boy

GeneralDelivery man arraigned for allegedly kissing a boy

BELIZE CITY, Mon. May 18, 2015–A Belize City man who is employed as a delivery man for a restaurant was arraigned on a charge of aggravated assault of an indecent nature when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer this morning.

Patrick Swasey, 33, pleaded not guilty to the charge and was released on a bail of $1,500 plus one surety in the same amount.

Swasey was granted bail on the condition that he stays away from the virtual complainant in the case and all prosecution witness.

The allegation against Swasey is that sometime in the month of December 2014, he kissed a boy on the mouth – the boy is a minor below the age of 16.

The mother of the child reported to police that on Saturday, her son was with her and he was using her phone to chat on Facebook with Swasey.

According to the mother, she went through the thread of the conversation that her son was having with Swasey and discovered that he had sent her son nude pictures of women and men.
The mother reported to police that her son told her that in December, Swasey kissed him on his lips.

In court, Swasey told Frazer, “The only fantasy I have is for older, mature women.”

Swasey also told the court that on Friday, he was walking with another woman when the boy’s mother saw him and asked him for money, and because he did not give it to her, she made up this story about him.

“She threatened to send me to jail,” Swasey told the court.

Swasey said he is a basketball coach and would never think of doing something like that to children.

In reference to the allegations that he sent nude photographs to the child, Swasey said it is the child who had sent a nude photograph to a woman, and he sent it back to him.
