Dog on prowl finds fetus

HeadlineDog on prowl finds fetus

DANGRIGA TOWN, Fri. Feb. 26, 2016–At about 4:30 Thursday evening a dog prowling the Benguche area of Dangriga Town was seen with a human fetus dangling in its mouth. The fetus was later reported to be about 7 months. People who saw the dog carrying the fetus shouted at it, causing the dog to drop the grisly find on the street. It then ran away.

Police were quickly called and they took the fetus to the Southern Regional Hospital for a post-mortem examination to be conducted by Dr. Mario Estradabran and his team for more details and information on the baby.

Police investigation led to a woman who has been detained and put in the custody of the Human Services Department pending directives to be made by the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The dog’s owner told police that one of his dogs escaped out of his yard and was roaming in the neighborhood when the neighbors saw it pull something out of the bushes. The horrified neighbours saw a baby’s foot dangling out of the dog’s mouth and shouted at the animal. They then rushed to see what it was, and saw that it was a human fetus wrapped in a white cloth.
