Dwayne Davis, 32, who was charged with the June 18, 2012, murder of Dr. Ivan Garcia, had his case committed to the January session of the Supreme Court when he appeared in court.

Davis is accused of killing the doctor and leaving his half nude body on the bedroom floor inside the doctor’s house. Dr. Garcia was found with a bruised eye and a cut to his head, and his throat showed signs of manual strangulation.

Davis was arraigned for the murder on June 20, 2012, before Senior Magistrate Sharon Fraser and was represented by attorney Bryan Neal. His preliminary inquiry was held before the Chief Magistrate, and he was again represented by Neal.
