BELIZE CITY, Wed. May 23, 2018– On Thursday, May 17, at about 8:23 p.m., members of the police’s Mobile Interdiction Team were on patrol in the Fabers Road area when they stopped and searched 20-year-old Travane Trapp.
Police discovered that Trapp, a hospital attendant at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, was carrying seven and a half pounds of cannabis in a backpack.
Trapp was charged with drug trafficking. He appeared in the Magistrate’s Court and pleaded guilty to charges brought against him for drug possession. He was fined $3,000, which he must pay by October 31, or he will spend a year in prison.
