Man shot in the foot in San Pedro

A man was shot in the leg while riding his bicycle in San Pedro by an unknown shooter. Florentino Velasquez, 19, of Boca Del Rio, San Pedro, was taken to the San Pedro Polyclinic and treated for the gunshot injury. The incident occurred about 3:40 Tuesday afternoon, on the beachfront in the Boca Del Rio area.

Velasquez told police that he was riding his bicycle when he heard a gunshot, after which he felt a burning in the lower part of his right foot, and it began to bleed. He then realized that he had been shot.

He immediately went to the police who took him to the polyclinic, where he was treated.

Police went to the area and have begun an investigation into the shooting.
