Two brothers of Billy White have been arrested and charged with wounding, and will be taken to the San Ignacio Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, Tuesday.

Police said that Gumercindo Pop, a resident of the village, was stabbed by the two brothers after they became involved in an argument which led to an altercation while drinking in a bar in the village at about 5:00 Saturday morning.

As a result, Pop was stabbed in the chest, shoulders, head, back and neck. He was taken to the San Ignacio Town Hospital, and later to the Western Regional Hospital in Belmopan for further treatment. His condition has been declared serious, but stable.
