BELIZE CITY, Mon. Sept. 25, 2017–The Belize City Primary Schools Basketball Tournament 2017 got underway today at the Gateway Youth Centre in Belize City.

There are twelve (12) teams participating in the male division and four (4) in the female division, these are:
MALE (M) – Division A – St. Ignatius, Belize Elementary, Queen’s Square Anglican, Muslim Community, Central Christian, and Wesley Upper; Division B – St. Martin De Porres, All Saints Anglican, St. Joseph RC, St. John Vianney, Bethel Primary, and Ephesus SDA.

FEMALE (F) – Central Christian, St. Martin De Porres, St. Joseph RC, and Muslim Community.
In games played today, (M) St. Ignatius defeated Muslim Community, 27-5; and (M) Belize Elementary won, 20-14, over Central Christian.

Upcoming schedule, first game starting at 1:15 p.m. daily:
Tues. Sept. 26: (F) St. Joseph RC vs St. Martin De Porres; (M) St. Joseph RC vs St. Martin De Porres; (M) St. John Vianney vs All Saints Anglican.
Wed. Sept. 27: (M) Bethel Primary vs Ephesus SDA; (M) Wesley Upper vs Queen’s Square Anglican; (M) St. Ignatius vs Belize Elementary.
Thursday, September 28: (M) All Saints Anglican vs St. Martin De Porres; (F) St. Joseph RC vs Muslim Community; (M) St. Joseph RC vs Bethel Primary; (M) St. John Vianney vs Ephesus SDA.
