BELIZE CITY–Belize has now officially qualified to participate in Table Tennis at the 2014 Central American & Caribbean Games, to be held in Veracruz, Mexico in November, 2014.

Tyrone Tun and Carlos Cui successfully qualified in El Salvador over the past 5 days, to now compete in the Men Singles and Doubles event in Veracruz later in November.

12 countries were represented in El Salvador in both team and individual categories. While Belize was not successful in making the Top-8 Team qualifiers, we did manage to qualify in the Individual Category.

Tun and Cui will now compete in Veracruz, Mexico in November in the Central American & Caribbean Games in Table Tennis.

Belize was represented in El Salvador by Tyrone Tun, Carlos Cui, Sen Sen and Zhi Cheng from the Belize Table Tennis Association (BTTA).

The BTTA would like to once again thank the Belize Olympic Committee and the 4 participating players for their financial assistance and participation in making this event possible.

Congratulations to Tyrone and Carlos for their hard work in El Salvador, and we wish them the best as they participate in the games in Veracruz in November!
