General3 sisters charged for beat-down of woman in front of her children

DANGRIGA, Stann Creek District, Thurs. Aug. 11, 2016–Three sisters who stormed into a woman’s house and beat her in front of her children have been remanded to the Belize Central Prison.

Video footage obtained by Dangriga police, which had gone viral on social media – Facebook – shows Kimberley Lino, the eldest sister, Tiffany Cacho, the second sister and Samantha Lewis, the youngest sister, parking their beach cruiser bicycles in front of Brimimie Martinez’s home and forcing their entry inside.

Once inside, the women stripped the victim of her clothes and began to curse, punch, slap and pull her repeatedly in front of her children.

The video shows the children crying uncontrollably and running from their home.

According to Dangriga police, the footage, recorded by a 13-year-old minor, Kimberley Lino’s son, shows Tiffany Cacho, who is eight months pregnant, wielding a long knife, supervising Martinez’s beatdown.

The perpetrators, along with the minor, were taken before the Independence Magistrate’s Court, where they were all charged with aggravated burglary, damage to property and harm. Of all the accused, only Cacho was able to secure bail.
