The breakaway five-pack were never caught by the main pelethon, who went all the way into the Marion Jones Sporting Complex with Jerry Flowers grabbing first over Gilbert Gillett, who took second. Leroy ?Lyrics? Trapp was third; fourth went to James ?Cocky? Welch and Kevin Hall rolled up in fifth place to round out the top five. The main pelethon was outsprinted by Roque Matus to take sixth, and Chris Peyrefitte was hot on the trail to take seventh place. Kenneth Butler was eighth; Santino ?The Chief?Castillo was ninth and Errol ?Ladd? Gentle took tenth spot. On Sunday July 25ththe Kevin Coye/Carlisle Staine Memorial Criterium started out with thirty riders braving the Belize City heat taking 20 laps around the Princess Margaret Drive Circuit. It only took three laps for Santino ?The Chief? Castillo, Derrick ?Ricky? Waight and Leroy ?Lyrics? Trapp to know that they could break away from the rest of the group, and they did that finishing with ?Lyrics? first, ?The Chief? second and Ricky third. Marlon Smith outsprinted the field to take fourth spot. Errol ?Ladd? Gentle was fifth; Roque Matus, sixth; Leroy Vargas, seventh. Kevin Hall went from fifth on Saturday and dropped three spots to eighth. Chris Peyrefitte also fell a couple of spots from the previous day?s race to ninth and rounding out the top ten was George Abraham. The two-day weekend of the Edward P.
