SportsEarl Budd Sunday?s star jockey

In the second race, for E Class horses going 4 furlongs, ?Fugitive? from the Vaccaro stables broke the gate clean with jockey Montero on board and never looked back, finishing in a time of 55.4 seconds. Second was ?Baron? from Gabourel Stables with ?The Revolutor? Budd on board. Easter Monday winner ?Lady Sabrine?, with jockey McClane in the irons, could only muster a third place. ?Flicker? from the Bradley?s Stables had to settle in the cellar.

The third race of the day was the C Class going 6 furlongs. This race saw ?Kalian? from the Herrera Stables showing once again that he is supreme in the upgraded category. With ?The Revolutor? Budd on board, he ran away easily from Nanny?s ?Finishing Touch? in a time of 1 minute 24.3 seconds.

The fourth race was the Thoroughbred Sprint over 6 furlongs. Lennon?s ?Precious Ivory? came back from a short rest and once again stamped her dominance in this class with Findley on board, running away from Bam?s ?Son of a Gate? in a time of 1 minutes 24.9 seconds with Montero in the leathers.

In the fifth race, the Thoroughbred Allowance Class also going over 6 furlongs, Carr Stables ?Sundae?s Victrie?, with Findley on the mount, showed dominance as she made it two in a row over Baymen Stables? ?Tsumani? ridden by ?The Revolutor? Budd. Third was Dunker Stables? newcomer ?Mystique?, ridden by Manuel Rodriguez in a time of 1 minute 23.8 seconds.

The sixth and final race of the day saw the Thoroughbred Classic going over 7 furlongs. The absence of ?Kiss Up? surely put a damper on this race, as Baymen?s ?Answer the Call? had his way and made sure that no interconnection took place with Lennons? ?Africa? and ?Big Boy?. The race saw ?Answer the Call? with the Revolutor on board running most of the race in clear control until he finally put both of them away. Let?s hope that ?Kiss Up? shows up next month in Orange Walk Town, People?s Stadium on May 22nd, 2005.

Earl Budd was the jockey of the day with 12 points. Findley Thomas continues in the lead. Until next month when I give you some more predictions. I?m not being bashful, but if I were a betting man, then I would have some more dollars to spanks. Well, that?s it for now. Just give me a break as I just gallop out of here. See ya!!!
