In other basketball news, last weekend at Cozumel, Kirk Smith?s ?Aluxes? split the games played against Chetumal ?Manatis?, winning by the score of 79-74 on Saturday night, but losing on Sunday 105-99. Smith had a sub-par game on Saturday going for only 8 points and 11 rebounds, his team nevertheless was able to pull out the big win. On Sunday however, he rebounded by scoring 19 points, grabbing 16 rebounds, with 4 assists and 2 blocks on Sunday; but this did not help his team as they fell. According to reports, former UB Kevin Shand and the Sutero Brothers are both playing with Chetumal ?Manatis?. This weekend Kirk will be at home facing Yucatan.
