ACC male and female teams win High School Softball Championship

In the male game, Anglican Cathedral defeated Gwen Lizarraga High School by a whopping 9-2.


In the second round games played on Friday, February 18, it was the girls of Belize Rural High School winning over Anglican Cathedral, 8-1, to force the competition to a Game Three.


In the male game, Anglican Cathedral won in easy fashion, defeating Belize Rural High School, 10-0, to win the crown.


On Saturday, February 13, the girls of Anglican Cathedral triumphed over Belize Rural High School, 8-3, to reach the national finals. Kimani Smith was voted most valuable player.


Anglican Cathedral male and female teams are the CSSSA Softball Champions for 2005 and will represent the Central Division at the National Competition to be held this coming weekend at Bermudian Landing hosted by Belize Rural High School.


The following schools will represent their regions: Escuela Secundaria female team and Orange Walk Technical High School male team will represent the North; Anglican Cathedral male and female teams will represent Central; Belmopan Comprehensive male and female teams, West; and Independence High School male and female teams from the South.
