GeneralMarlon Fisher, 25, loses lung; has 50/50 chance of survival

Tonight, Fisher is listed in critical condition at the hospital, and according to his mother, Lorraine Smith, doctors could see improvement within 72 hours (3 days). Smith said that still, doctors at the KHMH have told her that her son has lost a lot of his blood, and his chance of survival is about 50/50.

According to a police report, sometime around 11:00 this morning, they were told of a shooting incident that occurred at a residence at the corner of Prince and West Streets. Police say Fisher was able to tell them the name of the person who shot him, and they are now seeking one person for questioning.

Fisher?s mother told the newspaper tonight that she does not know why her son was shot. According to her, he left home at about 7:00 this morning and said he was coming back shortly afterwards to have breakfast, but he never made it home.

Fisher had to undergo a four-hour surgery today, and was out of the operating theatre at about 3:00 this evening.

Doctors have told his family that they had to immediately remove one of his lungs that had collapsed due to the severity of his injury.

He is presently on a breathing machine and has been given blood and is being fed with intravenous fluid, said Smith.

When Amandala visited the scene where the shooting occurred, no one wanted to speak to us about what had happened to Fisher.
