The Pablo Marin 6-a-side football tournament has completed its third week of action at the Corozal Town Civic Center.
In game 1 on Thursday night, October 1, Golden Princess Casino defeated FAS, 2-0, with goals from John Ramirez and Kaleem Casanova. In game 2, it was Santa Rita Warriors, 6-4, over Haneen Shataz. Scoring for Warriors were Nestor (2), Jair Cansino (2) and Nach (2); while Shataz got goals from Camilo Sanchez, Sr., Ernie Chan, Manuel Manzanero and Julio Tun. And game 3 saw Creative Tiles with the 6-3 win over Peseros. Shaking the net for Creative Tiles were Jason Perez, Orlando Vega (2) and Jaime Garcia (3); while for Peseros it was Joe West, Valdemir Cardenas and Eulogio Santana.
Game 1 on Friday night, October 2, was a 2-0 shutout win for La Revolucion over Missiles. La Revolucion’s goals were by Dennis Charley and Rexel Correa. Game 2 was another shutout, this one 4-0 by B&S United over Calle Ocho. And in game 3, San Antonio Young Stars clipped Barrio Fino, 3-1, with goals from Andy Pelayo and Gilbert Velasquez (2). Barrio Fino’s only goal was by Rene Hernandez.
