A family is tonight asking for the public’s help in locating Rosy Susan Nunez, 13, who was last seen at her home at Mile 4, Northern Highway, on Friday, June 10, 2010, at around 10:00 a.m.
Nunez, who is five feet in height and weighs ninety-six pounds, was last seen wearing a short blue jeans skirt, orange blouse and black slippers.
According to Nunez’s mother, the problem-child had told her sister-in-law that she was coming to the City to baby-sit for her.
Not knowing her intentions, the sister-in-law, did not make any objections.
It was not until late in the evening that the family had noticed her disappearance, when another sister had gone to the home at Mile 4.
The sister then asked if they had seen Rosy, and they told her that she had said that she would come to the city to babysit.
The sister, who also lives in the city, then said that that was not true, because they had not seen her at the sister’s home.
The family then went to report her disappearance, but police said they had to wait until seventy-two hours before they acted.
It’s now been eight days and the mother says she is hurting, and wants her daughter home.
They are not certain if she has a boyfriend, but the mother says that they had seen her packing her clothes one day prior to her disappearance.
At the time, they had asked her why she was packing her clothes, but her response was that she was cleaning her room.
If anyone sees or knows about Nunez’s whereabouts, they are asked to contact Araceli Garrido, her mother, at 669-8964; her sister, at 666-8044; or hotline 800-292-9688.
