Death Announcement – Telford Christopher Vernon passes at 88

GeneralDeath Announcement - Telford Christopher Vernon passes at 88

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Telford Christopher Vernon, 88 years of age, of Burrell Boom Village, former Commissioner of the Supreme Court, former Country Manager for Basic Needs Trust Fund, former Comptroller of Customs and former Commissioner of Income Tax, who passed away on April 24, 2012.

He was predeceased by his wife, Enid Elaine Vernon. He is survived by daughters: Judith and Lenore Vernon and Lisa Vernon Hoare, and sons: Kingsley, Telford Jr. (better known as Brada), Trevor and George Vernon. He is also survived by Marlon and Melanie Vernon, 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, nieces Marion Vernon Garbutt and Althea Vernon Lay, and nephew France Vernon, better known as Sonny.

Funeral service will be held at St. Mary’s Church, Belize City, on Monday, April 30, 2012. The body will lie in state at 12:00 noon for funeral service at 1:00 p.m.

A bus will leave from the Vernon’s residence at 107 Y Ave., Burrell Boom Village, at 12 noon for those wishing to attend the funeral service.

Interment will immediately follow at the Burrell Boom Cemetery, adjacent to Camp Oakley.
