Belize Action has announced that it is hosting a second demonstration along with the Belize Association of Evangelical Churches in protest of the recent firing of Professor Brendan Bain by the University of the West Indies at the Battlefield Park in downtown Belize City this Saturday, May 31.

“All citizens are invited to come join us in sending a loud and strong statement that we recognize that freedom is under attack in the Caribbean, and we will not sit back and allow for this type of LGBT victimization and bullying to take place,” organizers said.

They add that, “Participants are invited to bring signs that are respectful, factual and in support of Dr. Bain. Signs will also be provided on site.”
