SANTA ELENA, Cayo District, Tues. June 30, 2020– Yesterday morning, Kemel Espat, 27, a Santa Elena technician and a motorcycle enthusiast, died in a traffic accident that occurred while he was driving his motorcycle on Loma Luz Boulevard on his way to his home in Santa Elena.

Espat was overtaking a vehicle on his right when a vehicle came from the opposite direction, and in an effort to avoid a head-on collision, he veered off the road and collided with a lamppost, and suffered massive head and body injuries as a result.

Espat died almost immediately.

A witness who saw the collision said that when the motorcycle collided with the lamppost, it flipped and Espat was thrown onto the post head-first.
