Belgium is considered a Christian country, just as Belize is. Yet many of those who proclaim themselves to be Christians, their behaviour shows all the contrary, and the reason for this is that deep within lies a rotten soul. It turns out that the Christian king of Belgium, Leopold II, took 267 Congolese people to his country in 1897 to display them like animals of a circus in an African village environment so that his people could mock them. This practice was known as “The Human Zoo”. It was only one aspect of King Leopold II’s Christian behaviour.

However, when we look at Belize, with its over 200 years of Christian teachings, we wonder abou the Christ-mas thinking of: GIVE UNTO OTHERS WITHOUT EXPECTING ANYTHING IN RETURN. Jesus referred to those who give one cent expecting to receive ten dollars in return as a “set of vipers” (that’s where the diabolic neoliberal capitalist system came from), and there are many for whom Jesus Christ’s command to “love thy brothers as thyself” does not exist. I call them HYPOCRITES, since their speeches of goodwill are spread out from a serpent’s tongue.

“And if ye lend to them of who ye hope to receive, what thanks have ye? For sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.” Luke 6:34.

“But love ye your enemies, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.” Luke 6:35

I wonder what Belize’s future will be built on. Will it be based on Christianity or science? It has been proven that the Religion/State educational system has brought us what your eyes can see and what your mind was able to understand. We who have been fighting against imperialism perceive knowledge for the benefit of humanity, with a different perspective.
