Lords Bank, Belize District, Sun. Sept. 5, 2021– On Sunday, September 5, the Belize Police Department visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) to investigate the stabbing of Fernando De Leon Botzoc, 21, who was being treated at the KHMH for apparent stab wounds.

Reports indicate that on the previous night, Botzoc was found by villagers of Lords Bank, and according to bystanders, Botzoc was bleeding profusely as he lay on Edwin Parks Street. He was subsequently transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where he is listed as being in a stable condition.

The police remain uncertain about the circumstances which led to Botzoc’s injuries and are still investigating. They are currently awaiting his recovery so that they can interview him and obtain information from him that could assist the investigation.

Botzoc’s family has since been informed of the stabbing. The police continue to investigate and are seeking one person in connection with the incident.
