Lords Bank, Belize District, Tues. Oct. 5, 2021– On Friday night, October 1, a man was fatally stabbed in the Lords Bank area. His moans and gasps for breath were heard by nearby residents of the area, who called police.

At about 7:50 p.m., the police reached the area from which the sound of moaning seemingly had been coming earlier that night. Upon arrival, the officers saw the motionless body of a dark-complexioned man lying on a dirt path off Serosi Road, and when they examined the body, they found several apparent stab wounds.

The officers were not able, however, to identify the dead man, whose body was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital morgue. The police thus posted a request for the public’s assistance on the Crime Stoppers page, and on Tuesday, October 5, the deceased man was identified as 38-year-old Jason Andrewin.

Thus far, the only lead into Andrewin’s death was that residents saw a man dressed in black leave the location at which the stabbing occurred. The Police Department is asking any member of the public who has information that could assist the investigation to call 922 or use the P3 Tips app to provide information anonymously.
