BELIZE CITY, Thurs. Nov. 10, 2022

The various country zone championships have been completed, Hurricane Lisa is now safely behind us, and so the National Secondary Schools Sports Association (NSSSA) will be holding its national volleyball championships for high schools this weekend at the University of Belize gymnasium on Friday and Saturday, November 11 and 12.

Male and female high school volleyball zone championship teams from the four country zones – North, South, West and Central – will converge in Belmopan tomorrow, where the two-day national championships, being hosted by Belmopan Comprehensive School, are scheduled to commence on Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the UB gym. On Saturday the games resume at 9:00 a.m.

Participating zone championship female (F) and male (M) high school teams are as follows:

NORTH – (F) Orange Walk Technical; (M) Muffles College Bobcats.

SOUTH – (F) and (M) Toledo Community College.

CENTRAL – (F) St. Catherine Academy; (M) St. John’s College.

WEST – (F) Sacred Heart College; (M) Belmopan Methodist High.

Entrance to the games is $5.00 for adults, and $3.00 for students with I.D.
