The Belize High School girls are leading with 4 wins in the Central Secondary Schools Sports Association (CSSSA) volleyball competition, while the Edward P. Yorke High School boys have 3 wins at the Swift Hall in Belize City, when the competition continued on Tuesday afternoon, October 15.
The BHS girls enjoyed their 4th win, 25-16, 25-12, over the E.P. Yorke girls last Friday, after posting their 3rd win, 25-4, 25-14, over the Pallotti High School girls last Thursday.
The Anglican Cathedral College girls scored their 3rd win, 25-18, 25-16, over the Pallotti girls last Tuesday, October 8.
The Nazarene High School girls enjoyed their first win, 25-23, 25-12, over the Wesley College girls last Wednesday, October 9.
The defending national champions, St. Catherine Academy girls returned from their Bronze medal win at the CODICADER Games, to dominate the E.P. Yorke girls, 25-6, 25-12, on Tuesday, October 15.
The E.P. Yorke boys dominated the Anglican College boys, 25-8, 25-11, for their 3rd win last Friday, October 11, after they had overpowered the Nazarene high boys, 26-24, 25-11, to record their 2nd win last Wednesday. The E.P. Yorke boys had to go to 3 sets to prevail, 25-18, 23-25, and 15-11, over the BHS boys for their first win on Saturday, October 5
The Belize High school boys enjoyed their 2nd win, 25-22, 25-11, over the Wesley College boys last Thursday, after posting their first win, 21-25, 25-14, 15-10, over the A.C.C. boys last Tuesday.
The defending national champs, St. John’s College boys returned from their Bronze medal win at the CODICADER Games, to score their 3rd win, 25-13, 25-20, over the Belize High School boys on Tuesday, October 15.
The tournament continues on Saturday, October 19, and for another 2 weeks, with finals scheduled for November 2.
The City champions will go on to compete at the National Secondary Schools Sports Association (NSSSA) 2024 volleyball championships to be hosted by the Belize High School of Agriculture on November 8-9.
