BELIZE CITY, Tues. Apr. 22, 2025

The Ladyville Rising Stars and the defending U-15 champions, Belize United, are leading with 3 wins each in the Belize District Football Association (BDFA) Under-15 2024-2025 Closing Season tournament, which continued with 3 matches at the Marion Jones Sports Complex in Belize City on Tuesday afternoon, April 22.

In Game 1, Belize United drilled the Hattieville United Youth Sporting Club, 7-2, led by Jamal Vasquez’s brace (13’ & 21’) and Tyler Arias scored a brace as well (20’ & 28’). Other goals came by Schae Gordon (18’), and after the break substitutes Clive Medwood (32’) and Christopher Gilharry (58’) completed the rout. Brayden Jacobs (17’ & 65’) scored a brace for Hattieville.

In Game 2, the Leaders of Tomorrow got the easy bye to a (3-0) win, by the Walker Boys FC no-show.

In Game 3 on Wednesday, Tyrese Henry’s hat trick (15’, 36’ & 52’) led the Ladyville Rising Stars to their 3rd victory, 3-2, over the Reality Youths. Ryan Davis (21’) had equalized at 1-1 for Reality Youths, and he caught goalkeeper Oren Humes out of his goal with a 50-yard lob from midfield (45’) that sailed in under the crossbar to equalize the score at 2-2, before Henry completed his hat trick with a 30-yard free kick to the vee of the crossbar and right post.

In Week 2 games on last Tuesday, April 15, Game 1 saw the Blazing Strikers enjoying their first win, 2-1, over Hattieville United, with goals by Khayri Martin (17’) and Malique August (42’), after Brandon Sommerville (38’) had equalized at 1-1 for Hattieville.

In Game 2, Keylon Gordon’s brace (25’ & 30’), and Tyrese Henry’s brace (35’ & 48’) led the Ladyville Rising Stars to their 2nd win, 5-0, over the Walker Boys FC, after Kent Noralez (5’) had scored the first goal.

In Game 3, Amir Ahmad’s hat trick (19’, 20’ & 23’) led Belize United to their 2nd win, 3-0, over the Leaders of Tomorrow.
