BELIZE CITY, Mon. Mar. 15, 2021– The Port of Belize Limited has announced that its operations are now being headed by a new chief executive officer— Mr. Andrew Lane. Lane, who has 20 years of experience in ship operations and worked in port terminals in locations such as Malaysia, Nigeria, Panama and Sri Lanka, replaces the Port of Belize’s former chief executive officer, Mr. Pablo Salinas.

According to the Port of Belize, Lane’s main areas of expertise include ship operations and network optimization, container terminal management, safety protocols, productivity maximization, and labor relations.

A recent release from Port of Belize Limited says, “The Port eagerly awaits the improvements Mr. Lane will potentially bring to the organization; his vast knowledge and expertise will surely contribute to the Port’s continued growth.”
