BELIZE CITY, Thurs. Apr. 12, 2018– The Belize District Primary Schools Softball Finals were played yesterday, Wednesday, April 11, at Rogers Stadium in Belize City under the auspices of the National Sports Council.

There were four teams participating in the female division and four in the male division, namely:

FEMALE:  Division A – Central Christian (Bze City) and Belize Rural Primary (Bze River Valley); Division B – St. John’s Primary (Bze City) and Our Lady of The Way RC (Ladyville).

MALE:  Division A – Salvation Army (Bze City) and Crooked Tree Gov’t (Crooked Tree); Division B – St. John’s Primary (Bze City) and Holy Cross Anglican (San Pedro).

Following a simple knockout format, it ended with Belize Rural Primary crushing Central Christian School, 18-0, in the female championship match; while for the males, it was Salvation Army, 5-0, over Crooked Tree Gov’t.

The National Primary School Softball Championship is scheduled for next Friday, April 27, at Rogers Stadium in Belize City, where the Belize District will be represented by Belize Rural Primary School females and Salvation Army School males.
