BELIZE CITY, Thurs. June 30, 2022

   The Belize Tourist Board (BTB) sponsored U13 Mundialito Tournament continued with Week 7 games on Saturday, June 25, at the MCC Grounds. 

   For about a decade, the Smart company sponsored the “Smart 13 & Under Mundialito” at the MCC.  Since the break of a couple years due to Covid-19, the tournament returned under new sponsorship from the BTB through the assistance of former Smart employee, now Minister of Tourism, Anthony Mahler.

   All 8 participatiing teams were in action this past Saturday, June 25, at the MCC Grounds, with the first pair of games starting at 10:00 a.m., and the other at 11:00 a.m.  Below are the results.

   Tutbay Yabra FC blanked Hattieville United, 3-0, with 2 goals from Christon Linarez and the other from Stephen Sanchez.

   Belize United bombed Pickstock FC, 6-0, with 2 goals each from Shae Gordon and Jacob Joseph, and 1 apiece from Johnathan Garay and Kieron Grant.  

   Ladyville Rising Stars shut out Sampson Academy, 2-0, with Frederick Garbutt netting both goals for Rising Stars.

   And Reality Youth also shut out Youth & Sports Education, 2-0, with a goal apiece from  Gillygion Nunez and Kadeem Oliva.
