Belize wins GOLD in Volleyball at 2019 U-13 CODICADER Games in Costa Rica

BELIZE CITY, Mon. Oct. 21, 2019– Reports coming out of Costa Rica, where the 2019 U-13 CODICADER Games concluded yesterday, are that Belize won Gold in volleyball, but had to settle for 4th place in football, after playing consecutive draw games in the finals and third place matches, losing both games in penalty shootouts. Belize was also 4th overall in Athletics. Congratulations to our GOLD medal winners in volleyball, and respect also to our gallant youngsters in football and athletics!

Belize 3-4 El Salvador. Our U-13 Male Football 7 Team played their hearts out today at the 2019 CODICADER Games in Costa Rica.

After a 2-2 tie at the end of regular time in the semifinal against El Salvador, we lost in penalties. Our boys will be playing for third place tomorrow. We are proud of you Team Belize!
