The Benguche Flames Under-18 team enjoyed 2 victories in Week 5 of the Ahmadiyya basketball tournament which continued with 14 games at the St. John’s College gymnasium on Sunday, February 23. Below are the games results:

Game 1 – Caye Caulker Stingrays girls won, 30-21, over Backboard Ballers, led by Jiselle Alvarado’s 13 pts. Brianne Rubio shot 8 pts and Jazz Erwin – 6 pts. Jeniyah Welch hit a long trey to lead the Ballers with 13 pts; Shenaye Wade added 4 pts.

Game 2 – MVP Ballers dominated the Under-12 Conquering Lions, 41-29, led by Antonio Robinson’s 18 pts, and Rasheed Blades posted 9 pts. Lions’ Jahshane Vicente shot 12 pts, Brayson Miller netted 6 pts, and Omar Amjad – 6 pts.

Game 3 – Benguche Flames scorched ABS Hard Rock, 51-46, led by Sharick Ciego and Evan Wade scoring 9 pts apiece. Jeminn Montejo shot 8 pts, and Anjay Cruz – 6 pts. Hard Rock’s Julian Gomez put up 17 pts.

Game 4 – Under-15 Ghans Stars won, 44-38, over the Falcons, led by Iwanie Nolberto’s 14 pts, and Zakaria Ogaldez posted 10 pts. Falcons’ Shemar Joseph and Winder Elrington netted 9 pts each, and Caelan Meighan hit a trey for 7 pts.

Game 5 – Under-22 Victory men from Placencia tamed the Young Rebels, 33-24, led by Demus Augustine’s 14 pts. Denbert Lopez shot 6 pts, and Gavin Palacio – 5 pts. Rebels’ Noah Ramclam shot 13 pts, and Marquis Rodriguez struck twice from outside the circle – 6 pts.

Game 6 – ABS Hard Rock U-12 crushed the Brotherhood Ballers, 33-9, led by Edward Cocom’s 17 pts, Khaliq Madrill and Rayjon Mahler netted 6 pts apiece. Brotherhood’s Jaythan Baptist scored 6 pts, and Cyrian Baptist sank a long trey.

Game 7 – Benguche Flames enjoyed their 2nd win of the day, 43-32, over the Caye Caulker Stingrayz, led by Michael Pipersburgh’s 13 pts. Evan Wade put up 11pts, and Devin Marshall struck twice from outside the arc – 6 pts. Stingrayz’ Hakeem Young scored 12 pts, Jahrell McFarlane added 7 pts, and Angel Keme – 5 pts.

Game 8 – Under-15 Conquering Lions mauled the Ghans Stars, 54-33, led by Clive Medwood’s 16 pts, and Amez Myles struck thrice from outside the circle for 15 pts. Ghans’ Iwanie Nolberto shot 11 pts, and King Wade – 8 pts.

Game 9 – Under-18 Falcons stooped on the Brotherhood Ballers, 67-46, led by Thomas Garcia’s 17 pts. Jonathan Davis posted 12 pts, Jahmor Lopez put up 10 pts, and Jayden Noralez – 7 pts. Brotherhood’s Oshane Munnings struck twice from outside the arc for 24 pts, and Jeriah Williams added 6 pts.

Game 10 – Under-22 Accelerate Titans bounced the New Elite Ballers, 81-21, led by Antwain Warrior’s 26 pts; Tamron Brook shot 13 pts. Baller’s Marquise McNab struck twice from outside the circle for 10 pts, and Joshua Henderson netted 7 pts.

Game 11 – Cold Hearts chilled the Caye Caulker Stingrayz, 39-36, led by Shiden Ferrufino’s 14 pts. Anwar Longsworth put up 9 pts, and Denmar Montejo struck twice from outside the circle – 6 pts. Stingrayz Angel Keme scored 11 pts, and Jahrell McFarlane and Malik Martinez shot 8 pts apiece.

Game 12 – Dream Chasers enjoyed their 2nd win, 54-45, over Victory, led by Tayshan Dawson’s 16 pts. Isaiah Pascual posted 10 pts, and Keedell Higinio and Tevaughn Dawson netted 7 pts each. Demus Augustine led Victory with 14 pts, Denbert Lopez posted 10 pts, Ryan Kelly added 8 pts, and Gavin Palacio – 6 pts.

Game 13 – U-22 Falcons raked the IG Ballers, 56-36, led by D’jon Canelo’s 9 pts. Jayden Garcia scored 8 pts, Randy Henry and Jahzani Lightburn shot 7 pts each, and Daejon Myles and Jamron McKenzie – 6 pts apiece. IG’s Kendale Clare scored 12 pts, and Jaylon Mejia – 10 pts.

Game 14 – Western Avenue Under-22 men schooled the New Elite Ballers, 80-40, led by Rhajae Lainfiesta’s 18 pts. Joshua Westby put up 16 pts, Stephen Peters and Kahiem Lord posted 14 pts each, and Kentrell Marshall – 13 pts. Marquis McNab struck 4 times from outside the arc for 26 pts; Avery Young added 6 pts.

The tournament continues at the SJC gym on Sunday, March 2.
