Leaders of Tomorrow drew, 2-2, vs Rookies FC

BELIZE CITY, Mon. June 30, 2025

Caesar Ridge FC and Tut Bay FC continue to lead the William Dawson Peace Cup football tournament which continued with 5 matches in Week 4 at the Marion Jones Sports Complex in Belize City on Sunday, June 29.

In Game 1, Ebony Lake FC triumphed, 2-0, over the Blvd. Ballers with goals by Jaheim Dougal and Jaymer Bradley. Devon McCaulay, Joshua Salam, Aaron Johnson and Jacob Westby came off the Ballers’ bench after the break in an effort to get a goal, but to no avail.

In Game 2, Johny Pineda (63’) salvaged the D.R. Starz’ 1-1 draw with Jane Usher FC who had led, 1-0, up to the half, with a goal by Akeem Courtenay (28’).

In Game 3, Augustine Smith’s 90th minute strike salvaged a 2-2 draw for the Rookies FC from the Maskall Old Road with the Leaders of Tomorrow, who had taken a 2-1 lead with goals by Tyrell “Tut” Estrada and Denmark Gill (63’), after Devaun Rhaburn’s (29’ PK) penalty had opened the scoreboard for the Rookies.

Man of the Match, Antwan Bailey scored 1st goal vs Sandhill Warriors

In Game 4, Man of the Match, Antwan Bailey’s brace, (9’ & 70’) led Caesar Ridge FC to their 3rd win, 4-1, over Sandhill Warriors. Ahmaud Brown (65’) came off the bench to blast in a low grass-burner just inside the left upright for the 2nd goal, and Naim “Nemo” Wilson (68’) sliced a shot from the goal line over the goalkeeper’s head to the far right upright. Kristian Vidal (63’) had equalized at 1-1 for the Warriors after the break. 

In Game 4, Dylan Belisle’s brace, (65’ & 68’) led the defending champions Tut Bay FC in a 6-0 romp over Hattieville /Rockville FC, after Gilroy “Laing” Thurton (45’) had opened the scoreboard just before the half.

Lebron Robinson and Enoch “Monster” Rhaburn led the villagers’ counterattack, supported by Raymond Bowen at midfield. Jaheed Baptist and Brandon Rogers, Jr. anchored the Hattieville defense, and Mario Rivera, Isaiah Martinez and Melvin Bautista came off the bench to help goalkeeper Jamal Tillett, but they could not stop Tut Bay’s offensive.

Tyrone “TY” Linarez (59’), Calvin Thurton (63’) and Orlando “Bredda” Velasquez (85’) sealed the 6-0 rout.
