It will be a big Sunday in Mundialito football this weekend, as both U-10 and U-13 championship games will be featured in the Belize Tourism Board’s (BTB) 2025 Mundialito Tournament finals at the Berger Field in Belize City.

The U-13 quarterfinal matches were played on Monday, June 30, while the last 3 regular season U-10 games on Sunday, June 29, automatically qualified their top 4 semifinalists.

All four semifinal games were played yesterday, Wednesday, July 2, two each for U-10 and U-13.

In Game 1 of the Under-10 semifinals, Sampson Academy prevailed, 5-4, in a penalty shootout over the Ladyville Rising Stars, after a scoreless draw in regulation.

In Game 2 of the semifinals, Blazing Strikers eliminated Belize United, 1-0, when Zion Jones (2’) struck home the winning goal.

In Game 1 of the Under-13 semifinals, Berger United enjoyed their 9th win, 2-0, over Reality Youths, with goals by Lionel Soberanis (5’) and Nigel Yard (26’).

In Game 2 of the semifinals, Belize United eliminated the Ladyville Rising Stars, 2-1, with goals by Jefferson Martinez (3’) and Schae Gordon (33’), after Ladyville’s Zayden Brown (10’) had equalized at 1-1.
