Amandala spoke with Sarita Nunez today, who had a separate story from the girlfriend, Janet Lopez.

Sarita said that her brother was in a relationship with a confused female, whom the family saw as trouble and nothing good for him from the beginning. She said that they talked to him several times, but he would not listen. She said that she kept telling him things and then told Castillo another story, which she thinks have messed up both their lives, as one is going to the burial ground and the other to jail.

She had both of them confused, and she is the reason for all this, added Sarita.

Sarita disputes the story given to us by Janet, that her brother, Dave Nunez, had a stick, saw Castillo go into the house and still attacked him. She insisted that Dave and Janet were walking when they were met by Castillo, who inflicted the fatal wounds.

What is more upsetting, said Sarita, was because the family was the last to get the message, sometime around 12:30 that night. She said Janet called and said ?Chief dead, e deh pan ih way dah haaspital,? and that was it. When they received this call, she said, Janet had left the scene long before.

She could not believe the message, said Sarita and decided to check in his house downstairs. She said that she saw that his bike was not under the shed and still decided to check inside his house to see if he was there, as he lent out his bike sometimes. When she pulled the door however, it was open, and the television, lights and fan were left on, which was very unlike him.

Nunez will be laid to rest tomorrow on Dangriga. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
