Court set date for Belize City Council stay of execution hearing

LatestCourt set date for Belize City Council stay of execution hearing

This morning, attorney William Lindo, Jr., who was holding brief for the attorneys representing the Belize City Council, appeared in the Supreme Court of Justice Courtenay Abel along with attorney Magali Perdomo who is representing the former City Administrator, Candice Miller. The court has set November 26 as the date when it will hear the Belize City Council application for a stay of execution in the matter of the court’s award to Miller in her wrongful termination case that the council is appealing. Justice Abel  awarded Miller almost $400,000 in her claim against the People’s United Party controlled Belize City Council.
