Cricket Corner – Games steaming up!

SportsCricket Corner – Games steaming up!

BELIZE CITY, Thurs. May 13, 2021– To all my cricket folks wherever you may be, under the auspices of the Belize National Cricket Association (BNCA), the Barry Bowen /Harrison Parks Cricket Competition continued over the weekend with some very interesting matches.
On Saturday at Bermudian Landing, Brilliant Cricket Club of Crooked Tree devoured Rural Mix of Isabella, 186 runs to 61. Meanwhile, at Lords Bank, Western Eagles of Rancho Dolores had an easy win over Suga Boys of Carmelita, 103 to 104 with 6 spare wickets.

On Sunday, also at Lords Bank, Bandits put a licking on Big Bad Berlan, 170 to 103. Bandits’ win puts the team at the championship round, and Berlan gets Third Place. That’s in Level One.

On Saturday, May 15, Summer Fever goes up against Bandits for first and second in game one of a best-of-3 games championship series. That’s in Level One.

In Level Two, Brilliant defeated Rural Mix, allowing Brilliant to enter the championship round. Rural Mix will now play Western Eagles at Landing on Saturday. The winner will play Brilliant for the championship next week.

There were no detailed stats on the results of the games, as I had issues with the CricHeroes App. But for future matches I hope to have it under control.

So until next week folks, enjoy your weekend and be Covid-19 safe. Bye Bye!
