Deon McCaulay’s Ginga University (ATL) are UPSL Georgia Division 1 champions

On to National Playoff Round of 32, starting January 16

BELIZE CITY, Mon. Dec. 21, 2020– Belize’s Deon McCaulay and his Ginga University (ATL) team prevailed 1-0 in their UPSL Georgia Division 1 championship match on Saturday, December 19, against Seas Jamaica United FC at Silverback Park in Atlanta, Georgia. The undefeated team now advances to the National Playoff Round of 32 to take on the Expedition Division Champions.

Georgia Division 1 is the Top-tier Division of United Premier Soccer League (UPSL), the largest pro-development league in the United States of America.

The UPSL National Playoff Bracket features the best teams from the league’s 18 active divisions structured in the classic tiered format. Divisional title games will extend toward four finals matchups in the Northeast, Southeast, Central and Western regions, with fixture dates currently scheduled throughout the country.

The tournament culminates in the UPSL National Semifinals on Friday, March 5, followed by the UPSL National Championship Final on Sunday, March 7 at Silverbacks Park.

With their Division 1 championship, Ginga University (ATL) now advance to the 1st round of the regional playoffs against the UPSL Expedition Champion in a game that will be played on Saturday, January 16, at Silverbacks Park Stadium in Atlanta.
