It is a strange case, because on Thursday, December 16, 2005, Kirk Anderson, Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), had sent a memo to Magistrate Dorothy Frazer, instructing her to remove the murder charge against Roger Anthony, 27, the man who had initially been charged with Bodden?s murder.
It also stated that Alamilla, who had been charged with conspiracy to commit murder, could not have conspired alone and that therefore, that charge should also be removed.
When the newspaper called police liaison officer G. Michael Reid today, he said that Alamilla is being sought because they have new evidence against him. A warrant has been issued for his arrest, he added.
Up to 5:00 this evening, Alamilla has not been found.
Sometime after 10:00 p.m., Bodden was shot eight times as he worked under a vehicle. The first two shots caught him while he was under the vehicle, and the other six when he tried to escape from his attacker. He fell in a drain two houses away from his home and died.
