Reliable information to Amandala is that Mark Seawell, the eldest brother of Dwayne Seawell, was arrested this afternoon after 1:00 at a house in the Belama area because police had received a warrant from the U.S. which said that the authorities there wanted the three brothers – Mark, Dwayne and Gary Seawell in relation to drug trafficking charges in that country.
Dwayne Seawell, we were told, has already been extradited to the U.S. from Jamaica, where he had been detained on immigration charges on Sunday, January 28, 2007.
Amandala was told that the one warrant from American authorities, received about three months ago, was for the three brothers.
Mark Seawell is in police custody awaiting extradition to the U.S. We could not verify if there will be extradition proceedings before Mark is extradited.
Police, meanwhile, are still searching for Gary Seawell. Gary, older than Dwayne, the youngest, is believed to still be in Belize, and police say they hope to lay hands on him before too long.
