BELIZE CITY, Thurs. June 18, 2020– This is an election year in the 4-year cycle of the Football Federation of Belize (FFB), and for the past few months of this year, elections have been held for the seven (7) football district association executives. The Premier League of Belize (PLB) will hold its elections this coming Saturday, June 20. All those elected executives of the district associations and the PLB will then represent their respective bodies at the FFB Elective Congress set for July 4.
This morning, FFB communications director Yashmin Juan provided us with the results for all seven FFB district association elections and the dates elections were held. We noted that, in keeping with new FIFA mandate on female inclusion, all executives included at least one female member. Below are the lists of newly elected executive members:
Toledo Football Association (June 6, 2020): Chairman – Allan Genus; Vice-Chairman – Eugene Benguche; Members – Katherine Burns, Marvin Vargas, Victor Sanchez, Jr.
Corozal Football Association (February 21, 2020): Chairman – Mario Yamir Cassanova; Vice-Chairman – Miguel Angel Alcoser; Members – Julissa Cristina Mejia, Valtazar Chan, Juan Antonio Morales.
Cayo Football Association (February 2, 2020): Chairman – Earl Trapp; Vice-Chairman – Raymond Rance Harris; Members – Jasmine Armstrong, Moses Waight, Roy Cano.
Stann Creek Football Association (February 15, 2020): Chairman – Kevin Flores; Vice-Chairman – Dennis Serano; Members – Kareem Haylock, Lloyd Nunez, Dorita Ramos.
Orange Walk Football Association (January 26, 2020): Chairman – Ladrick Sheppard; Vice-Chairman – Fernando Sanchez; Members – Alvaro Marin, Keiling Sanchez, Margani Banos.
Belmopan Football Association (February 23, 2020): Chairman – Marlon Tillett; Vice-Chairman – Dean Flowers; Members – Jacqueline Pelayo, Amilcar Umana, Peter Alvarez.
Belize District Football Association (June 13, 2020): Chairman – Stanley Reneau; Vice-Chairman – Tyrone Young; Members – Penelope Matus, Paul Casimiro, Eulalio Coc.
