The Roma people in Europe are synonymous with Blacks in America, where racism is institutionalised. The Roma are an Indo-Aryan ethnic group, at times referred to as gypsies, who originally emigrated from India and settled in mainly Eastern Europe over a 1,000 years ago. During Germany’s Hitlerian era, the Roma, Blacks, Jews, the disabled, and sexual deviants were considered sub-human. Hitler’s determined attempt to exterminate all of them, wherever they were in Germany and in the European countries he invaded, was truly vicious. 

The Jews, being whom they are, have milked the Holocaust for what it’s worth. That is part [of the] reason why a number of Western governments currently and wilfully ignore, and even support Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza, with Hamas as the fig leaf masquerading as a ghoulish spectre to justify Israel’s actions. There’s also the fact that the Zionist State of Israel is actually a European transplant serving as a Trojan horse within the Middle East, an Arab/ Iranian enclave. Paradoxically, how many of the wealthy Arab autocracies, do you see lifting a finger in the cause of the discriminated and hapless Palestinians?

But the Roma, unlike the Jews, because they have been kept relatively uneducated throughout Europe, have no voice. Education unlocks a world of endless possibilities – one major reason why you were able to be the indigenous herald of Black Consciousness and Empowerment in Belize. Still, as we see over and over, Justice will always be blind as long as man’s inhumanity to man continues to exist in this world.
