BELIZE CITY, Mon. July 27, 2020 — The Freetown Basketball Tournament 2020, which got underway last Tuesday, July 21, at the Belama Phase 2 Basketball Court, continued with 2 games played on Thursday night, July 23.

The 8 teams, divided into two groups of 4, are playing a single round-robin within their group, in addition to 2 out-of-group games, after which the top 2 teams from each group go on to the semifinal knockout playoffs.

In Thursday night’s opener, Belama LB Warriors crushed Belama PH 4 City Boys, 60-39. Belama LB Warriors – Mark Hilton 15 pts, Stanley Thomas 4 pts; Belama PH 4 City Boys – Elvis Olivera 12 pts, Kadeem Olivera 9 pts. And in the nightcap it was No Limits demolishing Belama PH 4 Assassins, 56-28. No Limits – Justin Wade 19 pts, Orlan Ferguson 16 pts; Belama PH 4 Assassins – Joe Broaster 11 pts, Russell Staine, Jr. 9 pts.
