BELIZE CITY, Sun. Sept. 15, 2024

The G-Flow Cycling team completely dominated the annual Belize Tourist Board’s September Cycling Criterium organized by the Cycling Federation of Belize and the Belize City Council, as G-Flow riders won all top 4 places and 7 of the top 10 places in the Open Elite category 2-mile circuit on Albert and Regent Streets, around St. John’s Cathedral and Mule Park, on Sunday, September 15.

The day’s schedule of races began with children’s races in the morning, and races for Club Masters and high school students in the early afternoon, followed by races for the Female Juniors & Youth, and Male Juniors & Youth, then the Open Women’s race, and finally climaxing with the big Elite/Masters 35+ category race in the evening.

Below are the lists of top finishers in the different race categories:

ELITE OPEN/U23/MASTERS 35+ (35 laps) – 1st: Leon Leslie (U-23, G-Flow Cycling Team); 2nd: Alexander Bennett (U-23, G-Flow Cycling); 3rd: Eric Trapp (U-23, G-Flow Cycling); 4th: Jyven Gonzalez (U-23, G-Flow Cycling); 5th: Carlton Robinson (Alliance United Cycling); 6th: Giovanni Lovell (Lovell Cycling); 7th: Goran Gabourel (U-23, G-Flow Cycling); 8th: Philip Leslie (Masters 35+, SPD Cycling); 9th: Hollis Baptist (G-Flow Cycling); 10th: Tyrin Tasher (G-Flow Cycling).

Masters Over-35 (35 laps) – 1st: Philip Leslie (SPD Cycling Team); 2nd: Kenroy “Smokes” Gladden (SPD Cycling); 3rd: Byron Pope (Alliance United Cycling).

WOMEN’S OPEN (15-laps) – 1st: Kaya Cattouse (Masters 35+, LA Sweat); 2nd: Francine Gigli (Lovell Cycling); 3rd: Irene Baki (Youth, Unattached).

FEMALE Youths (10 laps) – 1st: Irene Baki (Unattached).

MALE Juniors/Youths (20 laps) – 1st: Jaylen Briceño (G-Flow Cycling); 2nd: Devyn Major (G-Flow Cycling); 3rd: Tamron Morris (Griga Cycling); 4th: Jaheem Lewis (Valvoline Cycling); 5th: Keith Enwright, Jr. (G-Flow Cycling).

MALE Youths (20 laps) – 1st: Devyn Major (G-Flow Cycling); 2nd: Jaheem Lewis (Valvoline Cycling); 3rd: Keith Enwright, Jr. (G-Flow Cycling).

Over 60 MASTERS (20 laps) – 1st: George Lovell, Sr.

Over 50 MASTERS (20 laps) – 1st: Dwayne Wade (BZ-Boyz); 2nd: Kenny Gladden (Digi Cycling); 3rd: Fred Usher, Sr. (Unattached).

Over 40 MASTERS (20 laps) – 1st: Windell Vernon (Valvoline Cycling); 2nd: Preston “Motto” Martinez (M&M Engineering Cycling); 3rd: Kenroy “Smokes” Gladden (SPD Cycling).

High School GIRLS (5 laps) – 1st: Irene Baki; 2nd: Kelsi Castillo; 3rd: Arielle Gordon.

High School BOYS (5 laps) – 1st: Keith Enwright, Jr.; 2nd: Devyn Major; 3rd: Ahmaad Cherrington.

GIRLS 13-15 years (4 laps) – 1st: Kelsi Castillo; 2nd: Chelsy Gillett; 3rd: Brandi Tzul.

BOYS 13-15 years (4 laps) – 1st: Ahmaad Cherrington; 2nd: Jahroy Gladden; 3rd: Tayeon Chee.

BOYS 11-12 years (3 laps) – 1st: Arren Pope; 2nd: Anthony Miller; 3rd: Ivan Mejia.

CHILDREN’S Race 9-10 years (2 laps) – 1st: Patrick Flowers; 2nd: Vince Castillo; 3rd: Arya Belgrave.

CHILDREN’S Race 6-8 years (1 lap) – 1st: Nathan Andrew Marin; 2nd: Raheem Garbutt; 3rd: Zerrick Charles Cayetano.
