BELIZE CITY, Thurs. May 20, 2021– At high noon today, a 19-year-old was shot multiple times and left for dead in the Fabers Road Extension area.

Stephan Castillo, the victim of this most recent Belize City murder, is the second person to be shot to death in the city within a span of less than 24 hours. Last night, Marquin Drury was fatally wounded in a drive-by shooting.

Unconfirmed reports are that Castillo was pursued by his assailant, then executed in cold blood near a mechanic shop on Fabers Road, not far from the police sub-station in that area.

In an uncensored video shot by an observer who was present at the scene, Castillo’s body could be seen wedged between two vehicles, with a pool of blood on the ground beneath him. Multiple puncture wounds could also be seen on his body.

Police have not yet given any official report on this recent murder, but the nature of the crime suggests that it was gang-related.
