Dear Editor,
This news will be of interest to the older population as Mr. Louis Antonio Garbutt, former Belizean national football player, was a very well-known football player in Belize and New York City. Thank you for announcing this death.
Also, I wish to share with you for publication that a chartered bus ride will be leaving from New York City, Adam Clayton Building situated at 125th Street and Lennox Avenue in Harlem on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 12:30 in the afternoon on an outing sponsored by the United Garifuna Association Inc., The Mission of Belize, Claudette Ramos-McCoy and Glen Gentle. Also helping to sponsor the trip is Wellington Ramos, a former Belize national footballer who is one of the founders of a newly created Belizean Football League namely; BELIZEAN AMERICAN CARIBBEAN FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION INC.
The trip is to give support to the Belizean national team in their game against the Cuban team in the Gold Cup tournament. The bus returns to NY after the Costa Rica vs United States game. The games will be held in Hartford, Connecticut. Many other Belizeans have indicated that they will be taking time off from work and other duties in order to go and show solidarity with our Belizean national team. The team supports us all from home and from abroad. We wish our national team well in this upcoming tournament and Belize has come a long way this time. We can only build on our success for the future.
Please announce this information this weekend and next weekend as well. Thank you in advance.
