BELIZE CITY, Wed. Sept. 8, 2021– Last week, the Belize Rural North area representative (PUP), Hon. Marconi Leal tested positive for COVID-19.
Hon. Leal was battling the symptoms of the virus at his home when, as a precautionary measure, his family decided to take him this afternoon to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) for an assessment. After he was medically examined, doctors observed that his oxygen levels were very low, and it was recommended that he be placed on a ventilator.
Leal’s family subsequently relocated him to Belize Healthcare Partners Limited for further observation. Reports indicate that Hon. Leal is now in a stable condition.
