Reports are that ?Yankee? felt that Tiquan knew who had stolen his bicycle, and was protecting the culprit. Because Tiquan said he didn?t know the bike thief, ?Yankee,? according to eyewitnesses, stabbed Tiquan to death. It took police three days to make an arrest. Tiquan?s attacker had been identified only as ?Yankee,? and he had fled the scene after committing the crime. While Bennett was waiting to be charged at the Magistrate?s Court, he told us that he did not even know the deceased. Bennett also said that he is not the only ?Yankee? who lives in the Port Loyola area. Tiquan was stabbed many times in the chest, and a post-mortem conducted on the body on Tuesday, August 23, has certified that he died from ?exsanguinations as a consequence of stab wound to the heart.?
