Iris Centeno makes history as Belize Women’s National Team Head Coach

BELMOPAN, Fri. June 11, 2021– The Football Federation of Belize (FFB) takes this opportunity to congratulate Ms. Iris Centeno as the first ever female as Women National Team Head Coach. Ms. Centeno has been chosen to lead the team as they prepare for the upcoming Concacaf U17 Women Championship Qualifiers being played in August. Her qualifications include Concacaf “C” and “D” License and she has vast experience in working with National Teams.

Iris will be working along with her Technical Team which consists of Miriam Villamil – Assistant Coach, Jasmine Armstrong – Goalkeeper Coach, Jacqueline Pelayo – National Team Manager, Paul Casimiro – Fitness Trainer, Herbert Trapp – Equipment Manager, and Wayne Casimiro – the Head of Female National Teams.

Belize is in Group B and will be facing off against Barbados, Curacao and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The FFB takes this opportunity to wish the team best of luck as they go into these preparations.
