PROTO Foundation organizes first Monthly Road Race for Track & Field athletes on November 4

BELIZE CITY, Wed. Oct. 24, 2018– PROTO Sports, in collaboration with Body 2000 Health & Fitness Gym, presents the first Monthly Road Races, slated to begin on Sunday, November 4, 2018, in Belize City.  Races will begin at 7:00 a.m. from the BTL Park, through Belize City streets, and end at the BTL Park.

Proof of age must be presented by all Infant/Junior participants prior to commencement of races.

The categories are as follows:

This is the first of many such events that PROTO Foundation will conduct in an effort to restore the discipline of athletics to its national prominence. PROTO is promoting the race as a national event; therefore, participants from across Belize are invited to participate.

These monthly events will bear the names of past Belizean athletes who excelled in sports so that their legacy lives on. This first race is therefore named the “JOSEPH CARR National Road Races.”
