GeneralJustin Diaz, 23, shot at corner of Sapodilla and Zericote Streets

ORANGE WALK TOWN, Sun. Sept. 30, 2018– Justin Diaz, 23, a laborer of Orange Walk Town, is presently in a critical condition at the Northern Regional Hospital after he was shot in his chest and leg by one of two men on a motorcycle that drove by at about 1:30 this morning. The driver then sped away.

The shooting occurred about an hour after Samuel Castro was fatally shot, also in Orange Walk Town, by a gunman who also was on a motorcycle with a companion.

Information to us is that Diaz was walking at the corner of Sapodilla and Zericote Streets this morning when a gunman fired at him.

Police are looking for two men. The motive for the shooting is not yet known, but police believe that it is gang-related; no one, however, has yet been arrested for the shooting.
